Do you treat children?

YES, Dr. Jess is educated and trained to treat patients of all ages.  Just like adults, children can also be susceptible to stresses and injuries to the spine.  Some common reasons why parents might bring in their child for chiropractic care is for the treatment and management of spinal/extremity pain, sports injury prevention, scoliosis, and overall wellness care.

Do you specialize in the treatment of pregnant women?

Yes, Dr. Jessica is trained and educated in the specialization of pregnancy-related conditions and common ailments.  Chiropractic is a safe and effective treatment option for expecting mothers experiencing lower back or pelvic pain. Furthermore, growing evidence suggests that chiropractic care during pregnancy can promote a smoother labor and delivery.

Will I get adjusted on the first visit?

Most patients, receive treatment on their first visit, unless otherwise contraindicated or further evaluation/diagnostic imaging is required.

Do I need x-rays on my first visit?

No, if x-rays or other imaging is recommended, Dr. Jess will give you a medical order at the time of your visit.

Where are you located? Do you have parking?

Our office is located near San Patricio Plaza and WAPA with easy access to the expressway Martinez Nadal.  Formerly known as the "Energizer" building, our office is situated in the Condado Travel and Crematorium building.  We have plenty of free parking available in the adjacent private lot.

I have never visited a chiropractor before, and I am a little nervous... does the treatment or adjustment hurt?

It is very common for patients to feel nervous on their first visit to our office.  Although some patients might experience brief or mild discomfort, majority of patients are surprised that they feel immediate relief following the treatment.  Dr. Jess will explain the process throughout the visit, and the patient's comfort level is always her utmost priority.

Is the chiropractic adjustment safe?

Chiropractic manipulation is a conservative drug-free method of treating musculoskeletal conditions.  The adverse effects that can result after an adjustment is considered rare according to scientific data and research.  The secondary affects most commonly associated with a chiropractic adjustment includes mild and brief muscle soreness or discomfort.  Despite misconceptions surrounding the chiropractic profession, the safety and efficacy for conditions like low back pain, neck pain, and headaches is supported as a first course of action by the American College of Physicians (ACP).
